It’s a story as old as America itself. A hopeful immigrant, dreaming of a better life, leaves his homeland to come to America, determined to find success through hard work and grit.
In 1993, the origin seed of Fulin’s was planted, as David Lin emigrated from China to New York City in search of freedom and opportunity. While washing dishes in the kitchens of New York’s Chinese restaurants, David soaked in new knowledge of cooking, cuisine, customer service, and the restaurant business.
In 1999, joined by his wife and son, Brandon, David moved to Nashville, where he took a job as a server in a local China Buffet. Over time, he became a partner in the restaurant and began managing several locations.
In 2004, determined to uplift his family and business partners to a better quality of life, David took a bold, exciting risk to venture outside the typical Chinese buffet and carryout concept. Exotic flavors, exquisite presentation, and fine dining were the hallmarks of his first Fulin’s restaurant in Brentwood, TN.
At Fulin’s, customers could expect superior ingredients with elegant ambience and gracious hospitality. With an immediate formula for success, the brand rapidly expanded in the years that followed, leading Fulin’s to become a Southern staple and the first Chinese fine-dining concept in Middle Tennessee and Northern Alabama.
