2016 Ruthie’s Award Winners: Best Restaurant
The Ruthie’s Awards are presented annually by The Daily News Journal (DNJ). This 2016 Ruthie’s marks the 22nd year the awards were held. Businesses are recognized for being the best in Murfreesboro and Rutherford county based on nominations and votes cast by the DNJ’s readers. In 2016, the DNJ reported more than 400,000 votes were cast. Fulin’s Asian Cuisine’s Murfreesboro restaurant, located at 417 N Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, was nominated for 3 best restaurant awards. Fulin’s Murfreesboro serves authentic Chinese, Japanese, Thai food (link to http://fulins.com/murfreesboro/) as well as having a wide array of sushi selections. Once the online voting was complete, the DNJ notified the restaurant owners that Fulin’s was a finalist in all 3 restaurant categories. The 2016 Ruthie’s Awards reception was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Murfreesboro TN. Fulin’s Asian Cuisine took home three awards for the evening.
The Murfreesboro restaurant won the following awards which were accepted by owner Brandon Lin and Tao Xu, Staff Accountant.

2016 Best Restaurants in Murfreesboro: Local Favorites
Favorite Chinese Restaurant: First Place
Favorite Japanese Restaurant: Finalist
Favorite Sushi Restaurant: First Place
Brandon Lin commented as follows, “Fulin’s is honored to receive 3 awards at this year’s Ruthie’s. We owe a big thanks to our customers for voting for us and supporting us.”
