Best Chinese Restaurant in Nashville Tennessean Award
Fulin’s Asian Cuisine has long been in the running for the Best Chinese food in Nashville. In 2014 and 2015, Fulin’s was a finalist in The Tennessean’s competitive Toast of Music City (TOMC) Awards for Best Chinese Restaurant, selected by the newspaper’s readership.
Maneet Chauhan Hosts 2016 Awards Ceremony in Nashville
The hosts at the Toast of Music City Awards presentation included Maneet Chauhan. Maneet has been a top chef in notable New York and Chicago restaurants and is best known from her celebrity judge role on Food Network’s Chopped series. Maneet was also an award recipient during the evening. In the Best Chef category, she placed second for her Chauhan Ale & Masala House restaurant in Nashville’s Gulch community behind Tandy Wilson at City House.
New Chinese Restaurant Set to Open in Nashville’s Gulch
Along with Chauhan’s, Maneet also is a partner in the Mockingbird Diner and the highly anticipated new Chinese restaurant called Tánsuŏ, slated to open in late 2016 near Chauhan’s in the Gulch. Tánsuŏ is being launched in conjunction with chef Chris Cheung and is will offer authentic Chinese food with Cheung receiving early training from his family in the wok technique in his uncle’s small, yet successful Chinatown restaurant.
Fulin’s Wins Best Chinese Food Award
Fulin’s owner Brandon Lin and staff accountant Tao Xu were simply thrilled to be honored by Maneet with the first place award in the Best Chinese Restaurant category.
